Tiga kali seminggu ia sengaja melewati halte kereta bawah tanah milik sang mantan, berharap orang itu naik sebelum pintu menutup, padahal ia sendiri tidak yakin mereka masih menuju arah yang sama. Dari situ you’re in my bed berangkat, sebuah single indie pop sapphic tentang mencari seseorang di tempat yang sudah pasti tidak ada dia.

Nathalie Miller meraciknya pelan-pelan. alurnya hangat mengambang di latar, ketukan drum berjalan stabil tanpa pernah menaikkan suara, dan bas bergulir luwes di bawahnya, menyisakan banyak udara di antara semuanya sehingga lagu ini terdengar seperti kamar yang lampunya belum dinyalakan. Ia tidak terburu-buru dan tidak memaksa kita ikut terburu-buru.

Lalu ada satu baris yang membuat kita berhenti mengunyah. “in my hands braiding her hair”, nyanyinya.

Pelan, dan kejam.

Bait kedua melangkah lebih jauh, ia membayangkan menyentuh lalu buru-buru membuang muka, takut nama lama terucap di depan kekasih yang sekarang. Ada rasa bersalah yang dibiarkan menggantung tanpa ditebus (kereta, entah kenapa, selalu jadi tempat paling cocok untuk patah hati). Catatannya, refrain datang tiga kali persis sama lalu lagu selesai begitu saja, tanpa geser sedikit pun.
